All additional drivers must meet all rental requirements. Additional drivers must appear at the rental counter with the primary renter. Additional drivers must sign the rental agreement. An additional daily fee may apply for any Additional Drivers. The additional driver can only be added to the contract at the pick up location. Note- State law in California, Illinois, Missouri, Nevada, Oregon, and Wisconsin allow the spouse to be an automatic authorized driver as long as renter requirements are met.

This reservation is being made with a Contract ID number (CID) assigned to a Corporate Account for use exclusively by its eligible renters. Use of this CID by individuals other than eligible renters is prohibited and may result in disciplinary action. Renters using this CID may be required to show proof of employment or authorization (such as a business card, current email with company domain, work order, etc.). Questions about acceptable proof of employment or authorization should be directed to your Travel Manager.

Vehicles rented in the US can be driven throughout the US and Canada. Most locations do not allow travel into Mexico. If you wish to travel into Mexico, you will be required to purchase additional insurance to cover the vehicle while in Mexico. Please contact the branch directly to determine limitations and availability.

A credit card guarantee is required at certain times of the year in order to reserve a car. Certain car types require a credit card guarantee year-round. If your reservation required a credit card in order to book and you need to cancel, please be sure to give at least 24 hours advance notice to avoid any cancellation fees and/or penalties.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is not insurance. The purchase of CDW is optional and not required in order to rent a vehicle. You may purchase optional CDW for an additional fee. If you purchase CDW we agree, subject to the actions that invalidate CDW listed on the rental agreement, to contractually waive your responsibility for all or part of the cost of damage to, loss or theft of, the vehicle. DW does not apply to damage occurring in Mexico. When deciding whether or not to purchase DW, you may wish to check with your insurance representative or credit card company to determine whether, in the event of damage to, or theft of, vehicle, you have coverage or protection for such damage or theft and the amount of your deductible or out-of-pocket risk.

One-Way rentals are allowed within US and may be assessed a one-time drop charge or mileage charge in addition to the rental rate. This is also known as an 'inter-city' fee.The return location is indicated on your rental agreement. The cost of the rental reflects the return of the vehicle to that location. Returning the vehicle to a location other than the one indicated on your rental agreement will incur a separate charge. 　

The purchase of Extended Protection (EP) is optional and not required in order to rent a vehicle. This is a summary only and is subject to all provisions, limitations, exceptions and exclusions of the EP policy. Upon request, a copy of the policy is available for review. EP may provide a duplication of coverage already furnished under a personal insurance policy or some other source. Owner’s employees, agents or endorsees are not qualified to evaluate the adequacy of renter’s existing coverage. Optional EP provides you with minimum financial responsibility limits (at no charge to you) as outlined in the applicable motor vehicle financial responsibility laws of the state where the vehicle is operated AND excess insurance provided by the insurance policy. This supplies you and any authorized drivers with third-party liability protection with a combined single limit per accident equal to the difference between the minimum financial responsibility limits referenced above and $1,000,000 Combined Single Limit per accident. EP will respond to third party accident claims that result from bodily injury, including death, and property damage that arise from the use or operation of the vehicle as permitted in the Rental Agreement. The policy does not provide coverage for any loss arising from the use or operation of Vehicle in Mexico.

As a customer, you have a choice as to how you would like to pay for fuel. Option 1 - Prepay Fuel --This option allows the renter to pay for the full tank of gas at the time of rental and return the tank empty. No refunds will be issued for unused gas. Option 2 - We Refill. --This option allows the renter to pay Alamo at the end of the rental for gas used but not replaced. Price per gallon will be higher than local fuel prices. Option 3 - You Refill. --This option allows the renter to return the vehicle with a full tank of gas to avoid extra fuel charges.

A valid drivers license from the customer's country of residence is required and must be presented at time of rental. The drivers license must be valid for the entire rental period. If the drivers license is in a language other than English, an International Drivers Permit is required along with the drivers license. Exceptions -- Japanese travelers may use the Japanese Drivers License Translation Service, which replaces the need for an International Drivers Permit. -- At California, Nevada and Phoenix-area airports and rental locations, renters with driver's licenses issued outside of the United States or its territories must produce a valid Passport. -- US Territories include American Samoa, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, the Federated States of Micronesia, and the Midway Islands.

Personal Accident Insurance/Personal Effects Coverage (PAI/PEC) is offered at the time of rental for an additional daily charge. If accepted, the PAI contained in the policy provides renter and renter's passengers with accidental death, accident medical expenses and ambulance expense benefits. The PEC contained in the policy insures the personal effects of the renter, additional drivers or any member of the renter's immediate family who permanently resides in the renter's household and who is traveling with the renter against risks of loss or damage. Benefits are payable in addition to any other insurance coverage the renter or passengers may have. This is a summary only. PAI/PEC is subject to the provisions, limitations and exclusions of the PAI/PEC policy underwritten by Empire Fire and Marine Insurance Company in the United States or ACE INC Insurance in Canada. 12 & 15 Passenger Vans Renters of these vehicles must be 25 years of age or older. If the primary driver of this vehicle is 25 years of age or older, they must accept the terms and conditions below. The following terms apply to the rental of this type of vehicle, in addition to those set forth in the Rental Agreement. Please read before booking your rental. The van will not be operated or used in Canada. The van does not meet Federal Bus Safety Standards and will not be used to transport children in the twelfth (12th) grade or younger, other than family members, for school related functions. Additional Terms & Conditions, if renting in California Each driver of the van shall possess the requisite driver's license necessary for the operation of the van dependent on usage and/or organizational status of the renting company. That if the van is to be used for transporting passengers for hire or profit, or by any nonprofit organization or group, all drivers of the van shall possess a valid class B license with a passenger transport endorsement. That if the van is used by any public or private school or school district (including any California community or state college), as governed by Section 39800.5 of the Education Code or Section 10326.1 of the Public Contract Code, all drivers of the van shall possess a valid class B license with a passenger transport endorsement. Additional Terms and Conditions if renting in Rhode Island All renters and additional drivers must have liability insurance that transfers to a large passenger van. For a commercial auto policy the renter/driver must have minimum liability coverage of $1,000,000 that transfers to a large passenger van. Credit Card - A credit card, with available credit and in the renter's name, must be presented. The signature on the back must match the name imprinted on the card. In addition, if the renter has an online transaction, the number and name printed on the card presented by renter must match the name and number stored for the online transaction. Puerto Rico --The following credit cards are accepted for rentals in Puerto Rico-- American Express, MasterCard, VISA, Diners Club, Discover. Pay Now Reservations --Pay Now reservations cannot be modified, changed or cancelled online; you must call 1-800 GO ALAMO -800-462-5266-. Changes to pickup and-or drop-off location will require a cancellation of the original reservation and re-booking of new reservation with current rates. If the reservation is cancelled more than 24 hours before the pick up time, a 5.00 USD cancellation fee will be assessed. If the reservation is cancelled within 24 hours of the pick up or is not picked up at all, a 10.00 USD no-show fee will be assessed. Any optional insurance or CDW product selected at the time of reservation may be cancelled at the counter at the time of rental without incurring a cancellation fee. Guaranteed Reservations-- A -Guaranteed Reservation- may be required for specialty vehicle reservations, such as minivan, SUV, and convertible car classes at all Corporate locations and at participating licensee locations. During booking, vehicles that display the message -This vehicle requires a credit card for creating the reservation- will be considered a -Guaranteed Reservation-. If a guaranteed reservation is required for your trip, credit card information will be secured. Cancellations are accepted up to 24 hours before reservation date and time. If a Guaranteed Reservation is cancelled more than 24 hours before the pick-up time, no cancellation fee will be assessed. If the reservation is cancelled within 24 hours of the pick up or if the reservation is not used, a 50.00 USD cancellation fee will apply.

Renter may purchase Roadside Assistance Protection (RAP) from Owner for an additional fee. If Renter purchases RAP, Owner agrees, subject to the actions that invalidate Damage Waiver, to contractually waive Renter’s responsibility for the cost to provide 24/7 roadside assistance (where available) which includes replacement of lost keys (including remote entry devices), flat tire service (if no inflated spare is available, the vehicle will be towed. Cost of a replacement tire is not covered by RAP), lockout service (if the keys are locked inside the vehicle), jumpstarts, and fuel delivery service for up to 3 gallons (or equivalent liters) of fuel if Vehicle is out of fuel. Roadside Assistance Protection services are only available in the United States and Canada. If Renter does not purchase RAP, or RAP is invalidated as set forth above, roadside assistance will be available, but standard charges will apply. RAP does not apply in Mexico. RENTER REQUIREMENTS AND FORMS OF PAYMENT POLICIES RENTER REQUIREMENTS POLICY All renters and additional drivers must be 21 or older. All renters must have a valid driver’s license and a major credit card or debit card in their name. Individuals with learners’ or instructional permits are not eligible to rent. This is only a summary. For additional details, please reference the Driver’s License Information Policy. AGE The underage surcharge for drivers between the ages of 21 and 24 is $25 per day. Renters between the ages of 21 and 24 may rent the following vehicle classes: Economy through Full Size cars, Cargo and Minivans, Pickups and Compact, Small and Standard SUVs with seating up to 5 passengers. DEBIT CARD At airport locations, debit cards are only accepted at the time of rental if accompanied by a ticketed return travel itinerary. The name and address shown on the renter’s driver’s license must match their current home address. Active duty military personnel are exempt from address requirements. Other than the renter’s spouse or domestic partner, no other additional drivers are allowed. If using a debit card for any amounts owed, the available funds in the account associated with Renter’s debit card will be reduced by those amounts. Additionally, Renter is responsible for any overdraft fees incurred. Please read the Forms of Payment policy (see below) for additional details pertaining to the use of debit cards at this location. INSURANCE VERIFICATION At the time of rental, Renters without a ticketed return travel itinerary must provide evidence of a transferrable auto collision, comprehensive and liability policy for the following vehicle classes: Executive Luxury Sedan, Large Executive Luxury Sedan, Executive Luxury Sedan Electric and Large Executive Luxury SUV. FORMS OF PAYMENT POLICY The following forms of payment are accepted for the rental. VISA® MasterCard® American Express® Discover Network® Debit Card The Estimated Total for the rental on the Review & Reserve screen and/or in the email reservation confirmation will be charged to the form of payment provided by Renter. If the rental as reserved is modified, the estimated total amount for the rental may change and would still be charged to the form of payment provided by Renter. At the time of the rental, Renter will sign a rental contract (the “Contract”) which applies to the rental and includes a Rental Agreement Summary and the Additional Terms and Conditions. DEPOSIT AMOUNT To account for Renter potentially incurring additional amounts owed under the Contract, renters without a ticketed return travel itinerary will be required to provide a deposit of $400, or $850 for the following vehicles classes: Performance Sport, Executive Luxury SUV, Luxury Sport, Executive Luxury Sedan, Large Executive Luxury Sedan, Executive Luxury Sedan Electric and Large Executive Luxury SUV at the time of rental. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Debit cards are only accepted at the time of rental if accompanied by a ticketed return travel itinerary. Renter must use an above listed form of payment for the deposit amount. The deposit amount will not be available for use by Renter and/or refunded to Renter until after the vehicle has been returned. If Renter incurs additional amounts owed under the Contract, those additional amounts may be deducted from Renter’s deposit amount, if applicable. If those additional amounts are not deducted from the deposit amount, if applicable, they will be charged to the form of payment provided by Renter at the time of rental unless Renter provides a different above listed form of payment to be charged. If using a debit card for any of the above amounts, the available funds in the account associated with Renter’s debit card will be reduced by those amounts. Additionally, Renter is responsible for any overdraft fees incurred. Money orders and prepaid cards are not acceptable forms of payment at the time of rental, including for the deposit amount, but may be used to pay any amounts due at the end of the rental after the vehicle has been returned.  Cash is not accepted. In addition to one of the above listed forms of payment, credit cards with sufficient available credit which are listed on Renter's Profile or Loyalty Account (Emerald Club, E Club, etc.) will be accepted as payment for all amounts owed under the Contract. All amounts owed by Renter under the Contract will be submitted (a) as an authorization to be a hold against and ultimately charged to Renter’s credit card or debit card, or (b) to be charged to Renter’s debit card. Our TollPass Program is our electronic toll collection program which allows our renters to drive through electronic toll lanes and pay tolls electronically, without having to stop and pay cash.
